Berry Kale Smoothie

Yields:  

2 people 

     

Ingredients:  

1/2 cup frozen blueberries

1/2 cup frozen strawberries

1 handful kale

1/2 Tbsp unflavored gelatin (or 1/2 a packet)

2-3 Tbsp local honey (optional)

1/2 cup almond milk or juice

10 ice cubes (more or less)

 

Directions:

Mix all ingredients and blend well.

 

Notes:

Add more almond milk or juice if too thick to blend. Add more ice to make thicker.

Gelatin is optional but the gelatin has several health benefits. :) When using gelatin in smoothies, it may be best to buy a brand online that doesn't gel. Great Lakes gelatin is a great brand.
