How we define Homesteading: Produce. Provide. Save. Thrive.
This course is divided into three themes:
Animal Husbandry: Natural bee-Keeping, backyard chickens, small space animals
Food Production: Building and filling raised beds, natural pest and weed control, rotational planting, inter-planting, and starting seedlings
Creating Homestead Structures: Build a compost system, rain barrel, and worm bin. Practical fencing will also be discussed.
A healthy, local, fresh lunch will be provided.
Accommodations: This is a Commuter Only Option Weekend, but if you are coming from out of town, please feel free to stay at The Homestead. Just pack a cooler for the fridge or enjoy meals in town.
